After recording her first solo album, the talented viola player Emily Bogiatjis asked me to design its cover and booklet. I wanted to explore her personality as well as the sensibility of her music. It had to be both wild and gentle, with a romantic and feminine touch.
The use of double exposure was the best way to translate this, where the flowers seem to burst out of her frame, just like music bursts out of the small wooden instrument.
